The website reads version, file name, and file size directly from the installation packages stored on this web server. No release information is retrieved from GitHub.

4. Platform and language detection

The website uses the browser to determine whether it is likely being opened on Windows or macOS and preselects the matching download. The browser’s preferred language is also used to choose between the German and English versions. Both selections can be changed manually at any time.

The detected operating system and language are not stored in cookies or local browser storage and are not used for profiling. For the English version and after a manual selection, the language is carried only in the URL as the parameter “lang=de” or “lang=en”.

Installation packages are downloaded directly from this website. External links, such as those to GitHub, Apple, Microsoft, Sentinel, the hosting provider, or app stores, first open a notice page on this website. The destination is contacted only if you then choose to continue.
